Tacos de barbacoa
Slow cooked beef, white onion and cilantro, corn tortillas.
La Costa Mexicana
Birria quesatacos come four to a plate with a cup of consomé beside them. That cup is not a garnish.

Beef cooked birria style, Monterey cheese on the griddle, cilantro and onion, rice and beans on the side.
If it is your first time, order it and do not ask what to do with the cup. Everybody figures it out by the second taco.
A short reading of the menu, set for this proposal. The full card runs longer and would be typed from the restaurant's own list.
Slow cooked beef, white onion and cilantro, corn tortillas.
Chopped grilled steak. The plainest thing here and one of the best.
Three enchiladas, three fillings, three sauces, one plate.
Spinach and cheese, for the person at the table who is tired of being asked.
Shrimp in red chile sauce. The name is a warning and it is accurate.
The house shrimp plate the restaurant took its name from.
Grilled chicken under shrimp and cheese sauce.
Fillet, rice, vegetables. Nothing hiding under sauce.
Chips and salsa arrive before you have taken your coat off. There is a kids card with tenders on it, a weekday specials card Monday through Thursday, and desserts made in the building. Prices are not printed on this page: this is a design proposal, and the real numbers come from the restaurant.
Sample photograph. Full bar, margaritas built to the flavor you name, rocks or frozen. Happy hour Monday through Thursday.
